Technical Management Scientist (Unconventional Computing)
About the role
Guidehouse is seeking a Scientific Engineering Technical Assistant (SETA) to support in the area of “unconventional computing.” The goal is to achieve orders of magnitude improvement in computation speed while expending orders of magnitude less energy in space-constrained environments. The efforts will focus on analog and hybrid analog-digital approaches to achieve such computing capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Guide the development and implementation of nonconventional computing approaches using a wide range of technologies including photonic and organic nonlinear materials and devices, coupled oscillatory states, quantum-inspired devices, synthetic biology, and suitable interfaces between these technologies and conventional electronic transport methods.
- Contribute to the design, analysis, and optimization of computational models and algorithms.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for complex problems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project managers and stakeholders.
- Utilize large language model tools for subject matter analysis and reporting.
Requirements
- Active and maintained "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
- Master's Degree in a science or engineering field.
- Four (4) or more years' experience with technical project management and/or as a technical advisor.
- Experience with large language model tools for subject matter analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written (including PowerPoint) and oral.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests.
- PhD degree may be used in lieu of four (4) of the required years' experience.
Qualifications
