Technical Lead, Weaving - 3rd Shift

Job Objective

Safely perform troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, repair, and routine maintenance of production equipment following established Standard Operating Procedures. Provide technical expertise and leadership implementing all mechanical and improvement initiatives for weaving machines including the normal operation, installation, troubleshooting, modification, re-design, maintenance, training and mentoring of loom mechanics; Maintain and/or coordinate the work on updating product and process documentation for standardization of all weave room processes.

  • Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process.
  • Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. Includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities.
  • Maintain and/or coordinate the work on updating product and process documentation for standardization of all weave room processes.

Work Qualifications

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED or 2-year trade school training in engineering/machine repair, and/or Minimum 3 years weaving mechanical experience.
  • Skills to create and maintain MSWord, Excel documents, Previous experience with Oracle, Everest.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical components.
  • Must have the ability to be certified in lockout/tag-out operations.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret dials, gauges, rulers, blueprints, schematics, equipment service manuals, and general instructions.
  • Must provide own tools and toolbox.
  • Must have the ability to work powered industrial equipment.
  • Sufficient strength and physical dexterity with good hand-eye coordination is needed to perform the duties of this job.
