Position Summary
The Technical Lead, Pre-IND Product Development Platform will support the development and implementation of translational research strategies for emerging cell therapy programs. The role will serve as a key liaison between discovery research and translational development teams, helping establish standardized workflows, assays, and evaluation frameworks that facilitate candidate characterization and advancement toward IND-enabling studies.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to building a translational development team and integrated platform - from in vitro to in vivo; help establish timelines and milestones.
- Assists in the development and implementation of standardized translational research workflows for evaluation of cell therapies.
- Contribute to assay harmonization and workflow standardization across programs.
- Design and execute experiments supporting characterization of therapeutic candidates, in vitro and in vivo.
- Generate and integrate translational data to inform candidate advancement decisions.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and activity between discovery scientists, translational researchers, and clinical & technical teams.
- Participate in project planning discussions and provide scientific input on translational strategy.
- Mentor junior scientists and trainees on assay development and translational methodologies.
Education
Ph.D. in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, or related field.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years in translational immunology, immuno-oncology, cell therapy, or related disciplines.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary scientific teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong background in functional immunology, immune profiling, biomarker development, and assay optimization.
- Excellent communication, organization, and project coordination skills.
Working Conditions
Ability to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends, when requested for special projects.
Pay
Salary range: $128,700.00 - $146,100.00 (NYC Offices)
