Technical Lead, North American Insurance Operations Group
About the Role
The Technical Lead, Insurance Operations will serve as a Subject Matter Expert responsible for establishing centralized form repositories, documenting workflows, and providing product leadership and guidance to support Production Underwriters. This role focuses on reviewing daily team procedures to increase productivity and efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams to define common enterprise processes and contribute to Allied World's Target Operating Model Initiative.
Responsibilities
- Product Leadership & Documentation
- Gain deep understanding of Product Set including form set by related regulatory and compliance requirements
- Establish centralized repository of forms for team members
- Document workflows, create and maintain process maps and training materials
- Technical Expertise & Process Improvement
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for system testing and projects related to the line of business
- Review daily team procedures for opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency metrics
- Provide training sessions, process documentation, and workflow updates
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Participate in Technical Lead Work stream Project to define common processes and procedures for the enterprise
- Initiate cross-training opportunities between teams
- Work collaboratively with Insurance and Business Operations team members
- Contribute to the Allied World Target Operating Model Initiative
- Professional Development & Support
- Participate in Allied World Learning and Development Opportunities (online, in-person, and group training sessions)
- Engage in AW Connect Conversations with meaningful, measurable, and personal goals
- Perform Account Coordinator duties as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or relevant years in the industry
- Knowledge of insurance and experience with internal customers
- Risk Management degree and/or Professional Insurance designation preferred
- Strong demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to function independently
- Proficient computer skills in:
- Windows-based systems
- Microsoft Word and Excel
- Internet Explorer-based applications
Pay
The salary range for this role is between $70,000 and $90,000.
