Technical Lead

About the role

The Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing the technical direction and development of a team of engineers. They will also mentor junior team members, provide technical guidance, and ensure that projects meet high standards of quality and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and implementing new technologies and methodologies to improve project outcomes
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers within the team
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project scope and objectives
• Ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Managing project timelines and budgets
• Conducting code reviews and providing feedback to team members
• Participating in design meetings and providing technical input

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a software engineer or equivalent
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++)
• Knowledge of database management systems and SQL
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools
