About the internship
The Tetra Pak Internship Program offers hands-on experience and valuable networking opportunities. You will experience real situations in the corporate world and develop on a personal and professional level. Upon joining our team, you will have the support of a network of colleagues and will be instructed and evaluated by a mentor, who will guide and accompany you in your day-to-day activities. In addition, we have an onboarding program designed to better prepare you to put your full potential into action.
Calibration Intern (Chase Stewart)
Duration: Long-term (May 31, 2027 - April 28, 2028). Full-time until mid-August, then part-time max. 20 hours/week.
Responsibilities
- Handle shipping and receiving of calibration kits.
- Maintain and organize calibration kits.
- Help extract and manage data from databases to create equipment lists.
- Assist with creating calibration procedures and forms.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge or hands-on experience in calibration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power BI and Power Apps.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
- Current enrollment in college, ideally in your last two (2) years of College.
- Suggested majors: Engineering, Metrology or Food Science.
- Strong attention to details, good time management and planning abilities, ability to work independently and take initiative.
Continuous Improvement Intern (Martin Fernandez)
Duration: Long-term (May 31, 2027 - April 28, 2028). Full-time until mid-August, then part-time max. 20 hours/week.
Responsibilities
- Participating in Continuous Improvement activities in the factory.
- Being part of the meetings and discussions from our Kaizens and WCM Pillars.
- Collaborate and support our Reward and Recognition initiatives.
- Drive some Visual Management Projects.
Qualifications
- Suggested majors: Engineering.
- Curious and eager to learn.
- Ideally know some Power BI, PowerPoint and Excel.
Industrial Engineer Intern (Rafael Lanza)
Duration: Long-term (May 31, 2027 - April 28, 2028). Full-time until mid-August, then part-time max. 20 hours/week.
Responsibilities
- Support initiatives aimed at achieving Perfect Pallet, Perfect Order, and Productivity objectives.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Assist with process improvement projects within the finishing area to enhance workflow and operational performance.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and continuous improvement teams to implement solutions that reduce waste and rework.
- Collect, track, and analyze operational data to support decision-making and performance improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Suggested majors: Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering and/or Quality Engineering.
- Bachelor studies in any of the majors mentioned in each opportunity, coursing your two (2) last years of university/college.
- Interested in taking your career to the next level.
- Availability to work Full time during summer.
Pay
Salary Range: $22-$25 / hour
Schedule
Long-term (May 31, 2027 - April 28, 2028). Full-time until mid-August, then part-time max. 20 hours/week.
Additional information
For internships within a factory environment, you will be walking around a production facility frequently which will require you to wear steel toe safety shoes, wear a company provided uniform, wear proper protective equipment (hair net, ear plugs, safety glasses), and remove any jewelry. All safety gear is provided by Tetra Pak, including a shoe voucher for the intern to purchase safety shoes. Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas, relocation, or housing for these positions.
