Technical Intelligence Editor

About the role

Leidos seeks a Technical Intelligence Editor for the Intel Sector Analysis Solutions Business Area (ASBA) in McLean, VA. The role supports key US national security and foreign policy objectives on counter‑terrorism issues by editing analytical products, graphics, and visual aids within a team focused on Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations, Mission Software, Analytical Methods and Modeling, Signals Intelligence, and Cryptographic Key Management.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit products to align with customer style guide standards.
• Review and edit graphics, including interactive media; assist in development of visual aids and ensure proper formatting.
• Verify proper sourcing of products and graphics.
• Finalize publications.
• Provide archiving support.
• Track edited work product and ensure its workflow through the production process.
• Work within production schedules and coordinate with all parties involved.
• Produce, deliver, and archive finished intelligence publications.

Requirements

• Must hold a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Strong editorial experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, or related field and 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience editing Finished Intelligence Products or Intelligence Assessments (1‑5 pages) viewable by the broader IC or DoD.
• Previous experience editing and sourcing Finished Intelligence products for an IC customer, with a proven track record of collaborating with analysts and managers.
• Relevant exposure to US foreign policy, national security CT objectives, and the interagency coordination process.
• Knowledge of national security classification procedures is mandatory.
• Experience adhering to a publication style guide.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, short‑turnaround environment (periodically).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, specifically Track Changes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Adobe InDesign is desired.
