Amazon has an immediate opening for a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to support ADC Network Deployment growth initiatives.

About the role

The Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) will lead cross-functional teams to drive the implementation and deployment of completed designs, develop and document requirements, budgets, and project schedules. This role requires managing complex, large-scale technology projects, particularly in networking and data center rollouts.

Responsibilities

  • Drive programs deploying AWS networking infrastructure in AWS Data Centers and transit centers to meet growing customer demand.
  • Manage multiple competing cross-organizational projects/programs simultaneously on a global scale.
  • Interact daily with Network Engineers, Data Center Technicians, Software Engineers, Security teams, Cross-team Deployment Managers, Technical Program Managers, and Senior Management.
  • Participate in engineering reviews of network design.
  • Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles.
  • Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems while monitoring timelines and costs.
  • Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow-up.
  • Drive simplification efforts in engineering, project/program management, and architectures to unblock innovation.
  • Create predictable process paths for large and/or complex efforts.
  • Manage cross-functional projects with network engineering, infrastructure, internal project management teams, and external vendors to deliver outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical program management experience.
  • Experience managing complex, large-scale technology projects, particularly in networking or data center rollouts.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others in a technical environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Excel + Access, MS SharePoint, and project management methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing multi-discipline, highly technical project initiatives.
  • Familiarity with data center networking technologies, software delivery, operating systems, server virtualization products, and data center automation tools.
  • Comfort managing remote project delivery teams.
  • Ability to facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues and remove barriers to success.
  • Strong multitasking and re-prioritization skills to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Self-starter with a "will get it done" attitude and ability to make decisions independently.
  • Competence in project management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (e.g., network, data center, hardware, software).
  • Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of network engineering and deployments for large-scale networks in a corporate environment.
  • Hands-on experience with physical infrastructure installations, including hardware integration, racking, and cabling.

Pay

Base salary range: $127,100.00 – $171,900.00 USD annually (Arlington, VA). Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
