Technical/Functional Expert (Server)

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, tune, and support servers running Sparc Solaris, SolarisX64, RedHat, and Suse, with direct attached and FC SAN storage.
• Configure and support client server technology utilizing NFS and CIFS.
• Support large memory SMP systems with many cores in enterprise client server configurations.
• Support multi-vendor file systems such as XFS, GPFS, and VXFS.
• Support fielded systems, blade systems, and associated interconnects (SAD, FC, TCP/IP, etc.).
• Support RedHat and Microsoft operating systems, including Microsoft Exchange.
• Support infrastructure services like DNS, NIS, Active Directory, Centrify, Zenoss, SiteScope, HP Openview, HPSA, HPSE, Splunk, Sendmail, Exchange, NetQos, Infoblox.
• Support thin client solutions based on virtual bridges and Citrix.
• Support virtualization products like VMWare and Solaris containers.
• Meet with vendors to discuss new technologies.
• Architect integration of authorized new technologies into the environment.
• Provide support for design phases, including evaluation, government approval, and integration planning.

Requirements

• 10 years’ experience (with degree or 15 without) in a large and complex IT environment providing industry and government recognized functional expertise with the skills listed above.
• US citizenship and an active security clearance required.

Pay

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00

Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
