About the role
The Technical Editor will support the Office of Children, Youth and Families (OCYF) in the development of statewide reports, regulations, and associated documents/forms, and Federal reports. They will draft language and edit existing content for format, flow, grammar, and cohesion.
Responsibilities
- Supports the development of statewide reports, regulations, and Federal reports by drafting language and editing existing content for format, flow, grammar and cohesion.
- Works closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifies and communicates changes needed to existing training and other internal resources and supports the completion of those changes across the program.
- Writes articles and identifies subjects, interviews sources, and writes articles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or closely related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in child welfare and/or related human service field. Minimum of five years preferred.
- Strong knowledge of child welfare.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills, collaboration skills, and facilitation skills.
- A valid driver’s license is required. Experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse populations preferred.
- A commitment to achieving equity and inclusion in the child welfare system is a must.
