About the role
You will serve as a writer, researcher, analyst, and editor of doctrinal publications. You will independently review and edit documents such as concepts, CONOPS, OPTASK, NWPs, NTTPs, NTRPs, TACMEMOs, and TACBULs.
Responsibilities
- Participate in IW doctrine related discussions at Navy, Joint, and combined seminars, conferences, and various other forums.
- Develop white papers, point papers, and power point presentations detailing NIWDC’s position, recommendation, and gap analysis related to IW operations, planning, and tactics.
- Identify and make recommendations on doctrinal alignment.
- Support the communication and collaboration efforts using means such as SharePoint and cloud-based solutions.
- Assist in the adjudication of comments.
- Draft flag-level packages.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required.
- Must be able to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
Qualifications
Your Resume Must Demonstrate At Least One Year Of Specialized Experience At Or Equivalent To The GS-11 Grade Level Or Pay Band In The Federal Service Or Equivalent Experience In The Private Or Public Sector.
- Experience writing, researching, analyzing and editing doctrinal publications.
- Experience independently reviewing and editing documents such as concepts, CONOPS, OPTASK, NWPs, NTTPs, NTRPs, TACMEMOs, and TACBULs.
- Experience participating in IW doctrine related discussions at Navy, Joint, and combined seminars, conferences, and various other forums.
- Experience developing white papers, point papers, and power point presentations detailing the command's position, recommendation, and gap analysis related to warfighting operations, planning, and tactics.
- Experience supporting communication and collaboration efforts using means such as SharePoint and cloud-based solutions.
- Experience assisting in the adjudication of comments and drafting flag-level packages.
Skills
Technical writing and editing skills are required for this position.
