About the role

The Technical Designer is responsible for producing high quality construction documents. They work in all phases of a project, including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration. Reporting to the Production Director, they assist architects and project managers during the construction administration phase.

Responsibilities

  • Create presentations using design software to produce architectural construction documents in Revit.
  • Assemble plans, construction documents, and other information for permitting.
  • Cook up the preparation of construction documents with team members.
  • Build Revit models during the design phase.
  • Aid architects and project managers during the construction administration phase.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in using Revit.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Creativity, integrity, and initiative.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects, and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in design software to create presentations.
  • Participate in the drawing architectural construction documents in Revit.
  • Coordinate the preparation of construction documents with team members.
  • Aid in the building of Revit models during the design phase.
  • Aid architects and project managers during the construction administration phase.

Pay

The expected pay range for this position, based on experience, skills, and knowledge applicable to the role, is $61,000 to $75,000.
