Position Overview

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain engineering drawings
  • Create new, or revision of existing drawings
  • Prepare design layouts and modify existing designs
  • Investigate and resolve moderately complex manufacturing process, or engineering related issues
  • Verify accuracy of engineering data produced by others
  • Revise and maintain standard operating procedures for technical design
  • 3D Model existing equipment

Required Skills

  • Experience with Computer Aided Design tools (AutoCAD, CATIA, & NX)
  • Experience in Microsoft tools (Word, Power Point, Excel)
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures
  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data)

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in Design Engineering
  • Experience effectively communicating and collaborating with multi-discipline teams
  • Experience with identifying required material types for parts and components
  • Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test)

Education & Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Rate Range

Pay Rate Range: 30 - 35 USD hourly
