The role of the Technical Design Specialist is to respond to queries and to guide and assist business users with proprietary New Era software including ROAL (Request for Online Artwork Library), Job Tracker and ROC (Remote Order Capture). This role serves as a liaison between the business users and the IT department, understanding and evaluating business requirements for the creation of products and interpreting them for the software developers. The Legal team at New Era Cap provides strategic legal guidance and support across all areas of the business, including licensing, finance, operations, logistics, technology, marketing, human resources, and corporate transactions. They oversee contracts, litigation, intellectual property, brand protection, compliance, risk management, and corporate governance while partnering with stakeholders to develop and execute legal strategies that support the company’s goals and growth. Responsibilities Use comprehensive knowledge of ROAL, ROC and Job Tracker to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve systems issues which cause delays in materials and/or orders processing in collaboration with the IT and Master Data departmentsRespond in a timely manner to all email inquiries made to ROAL, ROC and Job Tracker supportReview and process daily ROAL material requests within a 48-hour period to ensure compliance with legal, licensing, systematic and production guidelines.Guide and assist business users in ROAL, ROC and Job Tracker softwareAssists with testing of enhancement or changes to the software before launching and the training of end usersProvide expertise and participate in cross-functional projects related to ROAL, ROC and Job TrackerKeep all sensitive matters confidentialOther duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Ability to manage and make business decisions in New Era’s best interest without directionPassion for the New Era Brand and ability to represent the company in a highly professional mannerAbility to work analytically and multi-task in a well-organized manner both independently and as a teamStrong attention to detail and strong writing and oral communication skillsAbility to effectively solve problems to the satisfaction of the customer and companyPositive and collaborative attitude with the goal of enhancing relationships and increasing productivity of individuals and teamsStrong computer skills especially MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe IllustratorAbility to learn and use new software Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field preferred; additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered One (1) to Three (3) years of experience working in Technical Design or related field is preferred Travel Requirement The location for this position is 100% on-site in Buffalo, NY0% to 5%; domestic and/or global The salary range for this posted position is $60,000-$75,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation will fall within this range and is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
