Technical Design Intern

About the role

Responsibilities

• Preparing for and assisting in the fittings
• Tracking the samples and logging them into the system
• Garment spec'ing efficiently and accurately
• Facilitating the timely sample, fabric and trim approvals and other components to support on-time deliveries
• Updating tech packs for production
• Communicating daily with overseas factories to follow up, answer questions and problem solve
• Running errands to garment district as needed

Requirements

• Preferably Tech Design major; Fashion Design major is also acceptable
• Knowledge of womenswear and/or menswear garment construction and pattern making
• Attention to detail, strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite proficiency
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment
• Adaptability to wear different hats to finish projects
• Positive, friendly, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
• Animal lover (office has a puppy)
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay

Daily rate depends on experience; hourly rate $17.50.
