As a Technical Delivery Lead, you will oversee the successful delivery of high-quality application development projects, ensuring alignment with business requirements, security policies, and SDLC processes. This role requires collaboration with business teams, product owners, vendors, architects, and internal development teams to deliver client-facing software solutions. This position is open only to candidates located in Georgia or willing to relocate to Georgia.
Salary range: $130,000 – $145,000. This role is not open to sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership
- Collaborate with business users to gather, review, and refine project requirements to ensure sufficient detail.
- Obtain accurate work estimates from development teams and challenge estimates to ensure realism.
- Create detailed project/release plans based on development estimates.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to developers, proposing scalable solutions for complex requirements.
- Project Management
- Identify and address technical risks, issues, roadblocks, and dependencies, even when ownership lies outside the application development team.
- Coordinate with shared services, back-end teams, and third-party developers to ensure successful API and data delivery.
- Drive cross-team collaboration to maintain synchronization across platforms.
- Escalate timeline risks appropriately.
- Technical Leadership
- Understand systems architecture, application design, and integrations for projects under development.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews, advocating for technical debt prioritization.
- Represent development teams in external meetings, communicating technical approaches and challenges.
- Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Primerica’s SDLC process and security policies.
- Oversee timely closure of project activities, including vulnerability assessments, load testing, and deployments.
- Create Hypercare documentation and lead transitions to support teams.
- Risk Management
- Publish regular project status reports and communications for stakeholders.
- Manage project scope, risks, issues, and change logs.
- Escalate unresolved challenges to leadership in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Application Development, Management of Information Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of software industry experience as a developer and/or team lead.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Knowledge of modern software development technologies, methodologies, and project management approaches.
- Hands-on experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience creating work breakdown structures, project plans, release plans, and implementation plans.
- Strong communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Initiative to improve solutions, systems, and processes.
- PMP or CSM certification preferred.
- Strong technical acumen, with working knowledge of at least one technical stack and the ability to learn new technologies.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to lead project teams, delegate tasks, set deadlines, and manage work pressure.
