Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to Service team members via phone and email, and TC Ticketing systems.
- Monitor equipment issues to identify recurring failures and trends, partner with suppliers to investigate root causes and drive corrective action.
- Collaborate with the Warranty department to maximize supplier warranty and goodwill recovery opportunities.
- Create and publish technical knowledge articles (TC Notes), including written procedures, troubleshooting guidance, and supporting images.
- Work closely with both Butler Machinery and supplier Technical Training teams to identify training needs and improve technical training processes.
- Review supplier product support programs for accuracy and practicality, helping minimize implementation costs while effectively communicating program details to dealership teams.
- Identify and communicate missing, inaccurate, or incomplete parts and service information to equipment manufacturers for correction.
- Support and promote the vision, mission, and values of Butler Machinery.
Qualifications
- Preferred Experience:
- Associate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience with machine operation, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
- Knowledge of agricultural equipment and its systems.
- Technical Knowledge & Skills:
- Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, engine, and powertrain systems.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues and interpret technical information.
- Experience using supplier diagnostic tools and service documentation.
- Basic electrical and hydraulic system design knowledge.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong technical writing skills.
