Role Summary

T Industries Inc. is seeking a Technical Business Development Engineer to support advanced defense and military technology manufacturing programs in the United States. The position is based at our manufacturing and operations facility in Reston, VA, and the role is not limited to a single program, contributing instead to multiple U.S.-based defence manufacturing initiatives.

The Technical Business Development Engineer will act as the technical bridge between production capabilities and customer-facing engagements, providing manufacturing and producibility expertise to Business Development, proposals, and customer technical discussions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Business Development team with technical product expertise during customer engagements, proposal development, and product evaluations.
  • Provide manufacturing, assembly, and producibility input during technical discussions with customers, partners, and prospective clients.
  • Participate in product demonstrations, factory visits, and technical reviews, helping communicate production capabilities and scalable manufacturing solutions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Business Development teams to assess customer requirements and translate them into practical manufacturing and assembly solutions.
  • Contribute to technical responses for RFI/RFQ/RFP submissions by providing assembly, production, and industrialization expertise.
  • Liaise with production and quality teams to ensure customer-facing commitments align with actual manufacturing capabilities and schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in electromechanical or electro-optical assembly or manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong understanding of production, assembly, and industrialization processes, with the ability to translate them into customer-facing technical input.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams on technical and production topics.
  • Experience contributing to or supporting proposal development (RFI/RFQ/RFP) is required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain manufacturing capabilities to non-technical and technical audiences alike.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in the defence sector is considered a strong plus.
  • Experience with optics, displays, avionics, or electro-optical assembly.
  • Familiarity with clean-room or controlled-environment manufacturing practices.
  • Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement principles.
  • Prior experience in a Business Development, Sales Engineering, or customer-facing technical role.
