Technical Business Analyst with Retail Banking Platforms

This is a 12-month, 100% remote contract role open to candidates located in EST or CST time zones. Visa sponsorship is limited to H1B, H4EAD, or US Citizenship.

About the role

Seeking a Technical Business Analyst who can bridge business requirements and development teams within a retail banking platform environment.

Responsibilities

• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications, interface contracts, and data mappings.
• Document APIs, message formats, file interfaces, and batch processes.
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries against SQL Server for data validation and analysis.
• Understand data models, stored procedures, and system dependencies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and determine whether defects originate from data, configuration, or code.
• Partner with .NET developers, vendors, and business teams throughout delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of Technical Business Analyst experience within Retail Banking.
• Strong SQL Server / T-SQL experience, including joins and stored procedures.
• Experience documenting APIs, integrations, interfaces, and data mappings.
• Ability to trace defects across data, configuration, and application layers.
• Strong experience working between business stakeholders and developers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure experience.
• Argo platform experience.
• Banking merger/core conversion experience.
• Experience with vendor-managed banking platforms.
