Technical Business Analyst

About the role

Step into an existing Agile team quickly, keeping JIRA clean and meaningful. Improve story quality and backlog readiness while partnering with Product Owners, operations, compliance, and technology teams. Use SQL and data analysis to answer business and delivery questions, understand banking workflows to identify impacts and dependencies, and operate with minimal supervision in a high-visibility environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical software development projects, infrastructure and data migration projects, and/or cloud-native software implementation projects
• Decompose JIRA deliverables and epics in accordance with detailed project implementation plans
• Support Agile/Scrum delivery in a regulated banking or financial services environment
• Create and maintain process flows, data mappings, use cases, and requirements artifacts
• Coordinate testing lifecycle, UAT, and production support activities
• Support regulatory, audit, or compliance-driven initiatives in areas such as Sanctions, AML, Financial Crimes, or Transaction Screening
• Analyze banking LOBs, products, and end-to-end operational flows to identify impacts and dependencies

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or technical delivery/project management support
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience in a delivery environment
• Prior experience in Sanctions, AML, Financial Crimes, Compliance Technology, or Transaction Screening
• Understanding of banking lines of business (LOBs), products, and operational workflows
• Experience supporting regulatory, audit, or compliance-driven initiatives
• Familiarity with testing lifecycle, UAT coordination, and production support
• SAFe Agile, Product Owner experience, or related certification preferred
• Experience supporting a Product Owner or serving as a Product Owner delegate
• Strong SQL skills for analysis, validation, data research, and troubleshooting
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to understand both business process and technical implementation details
• Experience with tools such as NetReveal, Hadoop, or similar in the context of Economic Sanctions, OFAC, Financial Crimes, AML, or PEP Negative News Screening
• 4-year degree, PO/PM certification, PMI PMP, or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) certification

Pay

$51.67 - $61.67 per hour
