Responsibilities
Leading technical architecture and solution design for commercial banking, retail banking, and payments engagements
Translating business requirements into detailed technical blueprints, including application architecture, integration patterns, data flows, and implementation approaches
Guiding engineering teams through technical standards, design reviews, and build activities to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance platforms
Collaborating with client and Deloitte stakeholders across business, product, technology, operations, and delivery teams to align architecture decisions with program objectives
Supporting technology transformation initiatives by evaluating solution options, shaping implementation roadmaps, and driving execution across workstreams
Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field
6+ years of experience in technical architecture, lead engineering, or software development
3+ years of experience as a technical lead or architect on enterprise-scale initiatives from architecture through deployment
3+ years of experience designing and building systems using microservices and event-driven architectures, including at least 1 production implementation
Advanced degree or certification in business, engineering, project management, process improvement, or lean methodologies
Experience across payments, core banking, account management, card management, and integration architectures
Experience with Representational State Transfer (REST), gRPC, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with structured query language (SQL), NoSQL, data modeling, and application or cloud security practices
Experience producing technical artifacts, including data models and architecture diagrams
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), DevOps, and infrastructure automation
Qualifications

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $148,200 to $292,300.
Schedule
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
