Technical Architect, Azure Infrastructure

About the role

iT1, a leading national technology solution provider headquartered in Tempe, AZ, seeks a motivated Solutions Architect for Azure to join our Consulting team. This role is part of a team that consults with project management and clients to deploy highly technical solutions to help clients achieve their business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical architectures for Azure cloud-based solutions, ensuring they align with client's business objectives
• Host technical workshops to gather requirements and present solutions
• Define data management and governance practices to ensure the accuracy, security, and compliance of data within Microsoft technologies
• Identify opportunities to optimize performance and scalability and implement solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost optimization
• Prepare comprehensive client documentation, including technical specifications and user guides
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Pre-Sales Engineers, developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure successful project outcomes
• Partner with and mentor other architects and engineers to share knowledge and experience
• Participate in planning, review, and retrospective meetings and deliver solutions as a team
• Participate in peer review and sign off on detailed designs with project / executive sponsorship
• Drive service designs and outcomes that are globally available, secure, and reliable to our customers
• Execute daily tasks across multiple projects
• Manage and report time spent on all work activities
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft technologies and industry trends to continuously improve solutions and methodologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of senior-level experience with related technologies
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a technical consulting role including implementations and comfortable in client-facing meetings
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome difficult challenges
• Ability to work in a team environment and as an individual
• Complete assigned tasks
• Azure IaaS experience: Azure Site Recovery (ASR), Azure Backup, Azure Networking, Azure automation, ARM templates, JSON, Fabric, Purview, Physical to Virtual migrations (P2V)
• Core data center skills: Storage Networking, Windows Server administration, Scripting and automation
• Microsoft technical certification in 3-4 competency areas and advanced technical skill in 1-2 complimentary areas
• Highly desirable skills: Analytics and Business Intelligence, Turn raw data into actionable insights using Azure data and analytics services, Create reports and dashboards that drive decision-making using Azure Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Explorer, etc

Qualifications
