About the role
We are looking for a Technical (Application) Support Specialist to join a service-focused team in Utah in a contract capacity with the potential for a permanent role. This position supports internal users by resolving application-related issues, improving workflow performance, and delivering timely, well‑documented solutions. The ideal candidate brings a strong customer support mindset, solid troubleshooting ability, and a willingness to contribute to both software support and occasional hands‑on IT tasks.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming application support requests, prioritize issues appropriately, and drive tickets through completion within established service expectations.
- Investigate and resolve software, system workflow, and user‑access concerns affecting day‑to‑day business operations.
- Set up, maintain, and refine user workflows within the company’s application environment, including platform‑based support activities.
- Record diagnostic steps, outcomes, and recurring issue patterns to strengthen team knowledge and improve future support efficiency.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to gather missing details, clarify reported problems, and provide clear status updates throughout the support process.
- Join client or user discussions when additional context is needed to identify root causes and confirm appropriate solutions.
- Partner with technical team members on basic infrastructure‑related tasks during slower support periods, such as equipment setup, cabling, or other IT support projects.
- Contribute ideas that improve support processes, documentation standards, and issue resolution consistency across the team.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in software, application, or technical support roles.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues methodically and resolve problems in a fast‑paced support environment.
- Experience maintaining accurate ticket notes, resolution details, and support documentation from intake through closure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with service desk ticketing processes and application support best practices.
- Exposure to platform integrations, basic infrastructure support, scripting, JavaScript, or AI tools is helpful but not required.
- Experience supporting warehouse, operations, or workflow‑driven software platforms is a plus.
Benefits
- Medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance available to contract/temporary professionals.
- Eligibility to enroll in the company 401(k) plan for hired contract/temporary professionals.
