Responsibilities
- Identify customer needs and proactively develop business opportunities through technical and application-focused engagement across pre- and post-sale activities.
- Develop and maintain strategic site penetration plans for focus accounts in partnership with the sales team and greater METTLER TOLEDO organization.
- Design and execute targeted micro-campaigns in collaboration with Inside Sales and Account Managers to grow regional opportunities.
- Generate, qualify, and advance opportunities for AutoChem products, software, and services through technical close, based on clear value statements.
- Apply strong application expertise to serve as a trusted technical resource for customers and internal teams.
- Deliver consultative, value-added support throughout the sales cycle, including customer visits, seminars, training, technical consultations, and AFT support (Application Feasibility Test).
- Maintain strong knowledge of AutoChem offerings, competitive technologies, and complementary solutions.
- Translate application feasibility findings, industrial experience, and technical literature into actionable input for Product Management.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Process Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field required; PhD preferred.
- MBA or other business degree is an asset.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Chemical R&D space within the pharmaceutical chemical industry: chemistry, engineering, process development/safety.
- Experience working with sales teams in prior roles.
- Experience in process development, crystallization, particle characterization, or related chemical engineering and chemistry disciplines.
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, specialty chemical, or related industries.
- Experience with Process Analytical Technology (PAT) related to particle processes (including crystallization, precipitation, emulsions, flocculation, and suspensions) as well as chemical and engineering processes from laboratory development through scale-up and manufacturing is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while independently managing time-sensitive projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, creative, assertive, and problem-solving skills.
- SAP experience preferred.
