Technical Analyst Team Manager – Quality Assurance

About the role

We’re looking for a detail-orientated Quality Assurance (Team Manager) Analyst to join our Technical Corporate Services team, supporting our Logistics function. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for delivering great quality and safe products for our customers by managing, analysing, and reporting technical and quality data. This role will require travel across the UK as it is a remote role with occasional visits to our Morrisons Head Office in Bradford. You’ll ensure the quality of fresh produce, horticulture, meat, fish & chilled products arriving into our depots meets our specifications. The role supports in driving a quality culture across logistics sites and managing a team of Quality Assurance Analysts based across the UK. By monitoring food safety compliance across global supply chains and translating complex data into clear management information, you’ll enable the Technical and Trading teams to protect customer safety, avoid brand risk, and make smart procurement decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Quality Assurance Analysts responsible for ensuring Morrisons products meet the required specification, ensuring appropriate action is taken where non-conformities are found, providing timely and accurate feedback to key stakeholders that drives continuous quality improvement.
• Ensure the QA team provides timely communication of product issues, enabling the business to protect customers and maintain product availability.
• Provide day to day coaching, guidance and operational support to drive capability, confidence and consistency.
• Collate, analyse, and report technical KPIs, customer complaints, and intake assessments on weekly, quarterly, and annual frequencies. Through trending and analysis, identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions with internal teams and suppliers.
• Provide objective, fit-for-purpose technical reports that help performance-manage suppliers and drive process and quality improvements.
• Manage governance for product specification systems to ensure accurate food safety due diligence across thousands of growers and hundreds of packing sites globally, and support Produce Technical Managers in issuing and validating QAS specifications.
