Technical Analyst Senior
About the role
The successful candidate will perform technical and engineering-related work at the administrative/management level in charge of a section of engineering and technical professionals involved in regulating public electric and natural gas utilities.
Responsibilities
- Assign formal and informal work to staff members
- Monitor staff progress on assignments
- Approve final staff work products
- Conduct performance reviews in accordance with state policies
- Monitor staff use of time
- Address other personnel and staff matters as required
- May be responsible for own case load, including high profile cases, in addition to administrative and supervisory tasks
- May prepare written testimony and testify in cases
- Confer with members of other state and federal agencies
- Provide policy recommendations to the Commission
- Perform other duties as may be required
Requirements
Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Engineering. OR Substitution: Bachelor's degree from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited college or university with a major in Civil, Electrical, Electrical Design, Mechanical, Chemical or Mining Engineering Technology. AND Experience: Seven (7) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment in engineering. OR Substitution: Master’s degree in engineering may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience.

Pay
The Public Service Commission has established a salary range of $85,849 to $131,078 for this classification.
