This position is part of a dynamic team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at their Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, providing office automation expertise to the Air Traffic Division Academy.

About the role

The Technical Analyst will serve as the first line of contact for external customers via telephone or in person, referring them to appropriate staff. They will act as the point of contact for FAA instructors, staff, department managers, and personnel, providing IT/Help desk support for instructors, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

  • Document trouble calls in an automated logbook and refer technical issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain office voicemail and clean all voicemail messages regularly.
  • Provide support by scanning student records for Terminal, Tower, EnRoute, TSEW, and other classes, and maintain a log of scanned records.
  • Transport scanned student records to the storage area in Air Traffic Building, room 110.
  • Update electronic door locks.
  • Clean and maintain scanners and other office equipment; contact appropriate personnel for repairs.
  • Maintain office supply inventory, order and pick up supplies as approved by the FAA Manager.
  • Report broken or damaged classroom chairs and other furniture to maintenance personnel for repair or replacement.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of significant operations problems.
  • Assist periodically with special projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Teams and other project tracking tools like JIRA.
  • Ability to map business processes, prepare documentation, and perform analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of data quality and data management practices and techniques.
  • Understanding of relational databases and ability to query datasets.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Aviation Administration organizational structure and policies.

Pay

Pay Range: $59,150.00 - $106,925.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
