About the role
Alternative Power Generation is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Aide to support our team in the renewable and distributed energy industry. This part‑time internship provides hands‑on experience working alongside industry professionals on projects related to power generation, energy systems, and sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a degree in engineering, energy management, environmental science, business, or a related field and is eager to develop technical, analytical, and professional skills in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Engineering calculations
- Energy modeling
- On‑site testing and data collection
- Trend analysis
- BAS controls design development
- Other associated engineering or administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Current COVID‑19 and flu vaccination may be required due to client contract requirements
- Pursuing a degree in engineering, energy management, environmental science, business, or a related field
