Technical Advisor
About the role
The Technical Advisor provides professional support and guidance within their area of specialism. They conduct detailed analysis and investigation to provide advice, identify solutions and improvements to existing approaches, working with legal teams across the Firm.
Responsibilities
- Provides professional advice with a particular focus on patent, trade secret, copyright and other complex technology-related disputes involving software, algorithms and digital content
- Liaises with Litigation and Intellectual Property partners and associates to address complex issues and challenges, leveraging knowledge of a specialism to provide effective solutions
- Conducts in-depth research and analysis on prevalent issues within an area of specialism, providing insights on client matters
- Maintains client and case files, facilitating efficient data management and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Assists in scoping and project management to ensure timely and effective delivery of specialist advisory services
- Promotes a culture of continuous learning within the team, leading by example in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of specialist advisories and regulatory changes
- Provides professional support to the development of innovative solutions to complex problems and operational challenges
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently conduct detailed analysis, investigate issues and identify solutions, seeking guidance only on atypical or complex issues
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with team members and occasionally external stakeholders
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree and PhD or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Qualifications
Experience in patent, trade secret, copyright and other complex technology-related disputes involving software, algorithms and digital content is preferred.

$96,000 - $155,000
Schedule
Exempt roles are also performance bonus eligible.
