Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting Specialist

Focus Areas

• Technical accounting & external / SEC reporting
• Deep, hands-on exposure to ASC standards (ASC 606 revenue, 842 leases, 718 stock comp, 805 business combinations)

Role Responsibilities

• Design realistic scenarios from technical accounting memos, technical accounting schedules, SEC filings (10-K / 10-Q), footnotes & disclosures
• Apply new/complex ASC standards to transactions
• Review and compare AI-generated technical outputs for standards-accurate conclusions and defensible support
• Provide clear written feedback to improve AI reasoning about technical accounting
• Collaborate asynchronously with the research team

Good Candidature

• Big 4 or public-company technical accounting / SEC reporting background
• Deep, hands-on ASC exposure (606, 842, 718, 805) actual technical-accounting depth, not general audit experience
• CPA
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
