Technical Accounting Manager

Responsibilities
- Perform complex technical accounting assessments.
- Maintain accounting and financial reporting policies in accordance with GAAP and SEC standards.
- Establish internal controls over financial reporting.
- Act as a resource for accounting and financial reporting related questions, especially for non-routine and unique transactions.
- Take ownership of responsible areas and apply professional judgment.
- Communicate with different levels of management.
- Train and develop staff.
- Direct reporting responsibilities to the Corporate Director of Accounting.
- Frequent internal meetings with staff and Corporate Finance leadership, including the CFO and other executives.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting or Finance.
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA), MBA, or Master of Accountancy.
- Minimum of 6 years (at least 6 busy seasons/year ends completed) of public accounting or other relevant accounting and finance work experience.
- Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Experience with the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements for quarterly (10Qs) and private filing requirements.
- Proficient with performing technical accounting research and drafting memorandums analyzing the application of technical accounting guidance.
- Experience managing personnel of 2 or more individuals.
- Proficient in Windows-based PC and business software applications, such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to identify financial statement risks and implement effective controls over financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with Director and other Finance leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Big 4 public accounting firm experience.
- SEC reporting experience.
- Knowledge within healthcare, insurance, or retail industries.
- Experience with Lawson, Organizational Intelligence, Oracle, SAP, or other accounting and financial reporting tools.
- Hands-on approach to completing deliverables.

Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $93,600.00 to $140,004.80 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
