About the role

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) position within Datadog is dedicated to providing hands-on technical services to the company's largest customers. The role involves supporting, adopting, and guiding these customers through the comprehensive suite of Datadog products and features. TAMs are expected to act as trusted advisors, translating IT operations into tangible business value.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical support and guide product adoption for customers during pre-sales, post-sales, and renewal processes. - Regularly analyze the IT Operations environment of customers and recommend strategies to maximize Datadog’s value. - Advocate for customers by understanding their goals and use cases, and suggest process changes, product adoption, configuration, and additional features. - Participate and prepare for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with customers. - Collaborate with Datadog’s product management, engineering, and technical services teams to identify new features and products. - Continuously improve best practices for technical product adoption and customer success.

Requirements

- Solid technical grounding and hands-on experience in IT Operations. - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, Go, PHP, or Chef/Puppet. - Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab. - Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher. - Ability to work up to 4 hours per day, traveling to and from client sites. - Travel up to 30% of the time, via auto, train, or air. - Previous experience as a TAM supporting mid-market and/or enterprise customers in the cloud space. - Experience using Datadog and/or other cloud monitoring tools.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven track record of success in similar roles. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

- Expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
