Position Summary

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation. You will perform repairs according to manufacturer specifications while providing exceptional workmanship and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of automotive diagnostic experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience performing: Vehicle diagnostics, Suspension repairs, Brake repairs, Manual transmission repairs
• Previous dealership experience preferred
• Kia dealership experience is a plus
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented with a commitment to outstanding customer service
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform repairs as outlined on repair orders following manufacturer and dealership standards
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns accurately and efficiently
• Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications
• Conduct vehicle inspections and road tests as needed
• Complete comprehensive multi-point inspections and identify maintenance or repair recommendations
• Communicate additional repair needs with Service Advisors
• Accurately document inspections, diagnoses, and completed repairs within the dealership management system
• Maintain current manufacturer certifications and training requirements
• Keep current with evolving automotive technologies through ongoing education
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Support team goals while providing exceptional customer satisfaction
