Tech Writer / Editor Health IT Informatics Analyst

About the Role

Supports requirements gathering, process documentation, and high-quality technical writing/editing of all ORIS deliverables, playbooks, training materials, and knowledge-transfer artifacts. Documents workflows, decision-rights matrices, and Value Stream processes and maintains version control of enterprise curriculum and governance documents.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit materials such as reports, regulations, articles, newsletters, magazines, news releases, training materials, brochures, interpretive handbooks, pamphlets, guidebooks, scholarly works, reference works, speeches, or scripts.
• Gather, analyze, and compose technical information required for preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
• Edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.
• Conduct research and ensure the use of proper technical terminology.
• Translate technical information into clear, readable documents for both technical and non-technical personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or 6 additional years of specialized experience in lieu of degree).
• Minimum 4 years of specialized experience in requirements analysis, documentation, or technical writing in a health IT environment.
• Strong command of medical/healthcare terminology.
• Strong experience with computer-based systems.
• Proven ability to translate complex clinical informatics concepts into clear user-facing materials.
• Experience writing for VA or Federal EHR audiences.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, or Confluence.
