About the role

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Tech Writer/Editor to support the Veterans Affairs (VA) department. This is a full‑time, remote, W‑2 position based in the U.S.; however, candidates residing in CA, CO, IL, MN, NJ, NY, OR, or WA will not be considered. The role requires U.S. citizenship and a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance. Salary range: $74,263 – $81,970.

Responsibilities

• Write and update material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerning work methods, procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Refine work of writers and coordinate activities of writers engaged in preparing technical, scientific, medical, or other material for publication in conjunction with or independent from manufacturing, research, and related activities.
• Apply industry practices, techniques, and standards; develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Refer to policies and practices for guidance; contribute to completion of organizational projects and goals.
