About the role
As a Tech Skills Instructor & Curriculum Developer, you will help students build the professional competencies required to succeed in tech environments. You’ll design beginner-friendly curriculum, create slides and assignments, and mentor students as they practice communication, teamwork, decision-making, and customer understanding. You’ll also collaborate with our development team to ensure the curriculum aligns with real industry expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop curriculum for our Tech Skills & Career Readiness program.
- Create course materials, including slides, assignments, templates, and real-world scenarios.
- Teach or support live sessions with workshops, discussions, and hands-on activities.
- Mentor students as they practice soft skills essential for tech careers.
- Introduce students to core professional competencies, including:
- critical thinking & structured problem-solving
- time management & prioritization
- communication & collaboration
- decision-making frameworks
- understanding customers & stakeholders
- working with cross-functional teams
- giving and receiving feedback
- professionalism in remote and hybrid environments
- Provide feedback on student assignments, presentations, and teamwork.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure curriculum quality and alignment with tech-industry needs.
- Support students during Demo Day, helping them present their projects and communicate their value clearly.
What You Bring
- Experience in tech, project management, product development, HR, or leadership.
- Strong understanding of soft skills required in modern tech teams.
- Able to explain concepts in simple, engaging, and practical ways.
- A passion for teaching, mentoring, and empowering youth.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- (Bonus) Experience creating curriculum, slides, or professional development workshops.
