Tech Skills Instructor & Curriculum Developer

About the role

As a Tech Skills Instructor & Curriculum Developer, you will help students build the professional competencies required to succeed in tech environments. You’ll design beginner-friendly curriculum, create slides and assignments, and mentor students as they practice communication, teamwork, decision-making, and customer understanding. You’ll also collaborate with our development team to ensure the curriculum aligns with real industry expectations.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop curriculum for our Tech Skills & Career Readiness program.
• Create course materials, including slides, assignments, templates, and real-world scenarios.
• Teach or support live sessions with workshops, discussions, and hands-on activities.
• Mentor students as they practice soft skills essential for tech careers.
• Introduce students to core professional competencies, including:
• critical thinking & structured problem-solving
• time management & prioritization
• communication & collaboration
• decision-making frameworks
• understanding customers & stakeholders
• working with cross-functional teams
• giving and receiving feedback
• professionalism in remote and hybrid environments
• Provide feedback on student assignments, presentations, and teamwork.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure curriculum quality and alignment with tech-industry needs.
• Support students during Demo Day, helping them present their projects and communicate their value clearly.

What You Bring

• Experience in tech, project management, product development, HR, or leadership.
• Strong understanding of soft skills required in modern tech teams.
• Able to explain concepts in simple, engaging, and practical ways.
• A passion for teaching, mentoring, and empowering youth.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• (Bonus) Experience creating curriculum, slides, or professional development workshops.
