Job Duties

Assists in Artificial Lift proposal development, artificial lift application recommendations and post-well evaluation of Artificial Lift performance.

Uses engineering design principles to design, recommend, and evaluate artificial lift systems.

Provides technical and operational assistance primarily to internal customers (business development and field operations).

Uses knowledge and application of engineering principles, artificial lift technology and processes to complete assigned projects.

Participates in developmental programs to accelerate learning.

Applies artificial lift design theory and uses company technical application software tools to execute projects.

Leads the execution of the first five (5) electro-submersible pumping (ESP) units for oil in the southern area of Mexico.

Maintains and executes five (5) electro-submersible (MineESP) units and frequency inverters in the drainage system.

Develops MineESP Datalogger software, allowing for precise and real-time acquisition of production test data during the first 24 hours of the ESP units' startup.

Implements and commissions variable speed drive (VSD) systems as multi-node in the client's network in Oman Platform.

Acts as the International Technical specialist in charge on assembly and commissioning of leading electro-submersible equipment in geothermal systems (GeoESP) with a capacity of up to 50,000 bpd, focused on critical well operations in Europe.

Acts as a team member of the engineering group in charge of developing the load test bench for thrust chambers with a capacity of up to 50,000 lbs.

Provides specialized support for technical advice in horizontal pumping solutions for the displacement of water flow within cavern mines in northern Mexico.

Provides international remote technical support for problem-solving, installation, commissioning, and start-up of electro-submersible pumping systems (ESP), horizontal pumping systems (HPS), and Variable Speed Drives (VSD).

Acts as a team leader of the engineering group in charge of testing the first Hybrid Permanent Magnet Motor 700series for Geothermal application.

Implements the following engineering principles for Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), Electro-Submersible Pumping systems (ESPs), Horizontal Pumping Systems (HPSs): Affinity Laws, Bernoulli’s Principle, Faraday’s Law, Power Electronics, Ohm’s Law, Kirchhoff's Current Law, Closed-Loop Feedback Control (PID), and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM).

Requirements

Requires experience in geothermal well installations, including service design, pull and run operations, and failure analysis.

Requires experience in onshore and offshore oil well installations, ensuring efficient and safe execution of complex field operations.

Requires experience in HPS (Horizontal Pumping Systems), covering service design, equipment installation and testing, and client management.

Requires experience in surface equipment involving low and medium voltage systems: drives, soft starters, generators, transformers.

Capable of service design, remote troubleshooting, and programming of medium voltage drives at the operational software level.

Requires experience with SCADA systems with proven experience in control solution design, remote transmission unit programming, and client integration.

Requires experience providing technical support for medium-voltage drives in R&D special projects, including control logic development for Siemens drives used in IM and PM motor applications.

Requires experience in software development for technological solutions for the oil and gas industry, specializing in artificial lift systems focusing on creating innovative workflows and optimizing operations by applying engineering principles, data analysis, and automation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
