Tech Ops Engineer (Overnight EST Support 1am -9am)

Our technology supports real-world financial operations including trading, payments, treasury management, tokenization, and liquidity provisioning through secure, scalable, enterprise-grade infrastructure. Today, Alphapoint helps institutions launch and operate digital asset products with greater control, flexibility, and operational reliability across on-chain and traditional financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for system uptime and integrity of customer systems - must be capable of building and architecting systems to maintain uptime
• Documenting technical designs and creating training materials and documentation
• Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems
• Managing installations, upgrades, and maintenance of deployments of Linux, virtual environments such as proxmox as well as containerized environments such as docker
• Work closely with development to implement and scale-up automation of core tasks
• Ensuring protection of data assets by maintaining strict security policies and guidelines
• Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems so that they operate effectively
• Work alongside TechOps, Development, IT Security and System Administrator

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
• Fluent in English
• Expert system administrator for Debian based distributions
• Expert in computer networks, hardware, support, IT security, and tools
• Experience with multiple hosting environments (cloud, bare metal, VPS)
• Experience with various Databases and SQL (MySQL preferable)
• Highly organized, self-starter and detail-oriented
• Programming and scripting skills (Python, Bash, Ansible)
• Strong and effective communication skills
• Strong Linux, Proxmox, pfSense experience
