Responsibilities The Night Shift Mental Health Technician: observes, escorts, and monitors patientsreports observations to the Registered Nurseprovides basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurseassists patients with activities of daily living; assists in the maintenance of a safe, secure, and clean environmentengages patients in positive role models recovery-oriented behaviors Qualifications High school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disordersknowledge of approved techniques to assist patients with ambulation and self-care preferredMust be able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.Must have current AHA BLS CPR within 30 days of hire
