About the role
Fitzgerald Auto Mall is hiring full-time Automotive Express Technicians! Our service department continues to grow, and we are looking for motivated technicians who want a stable career with opportunities to advance. Experience working in an independent repair shop, quick-lube facility, tire shop, or automotive service center such as Midas, Monro, Goodyear, Firestone, Jiffy Lube, or similar is encouraged. Automotive trade school graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and manufacturer-recommended maintenance services
- Perform tire rotations, tire repairs, and basic tire services
- Perform battery, filter, wiper, and other light maintenance repairs
- Complete multi-point vehicle inspections
- Inspect vehicles for safety and maintenance needs
- Accurately document inspection findings and recommended repairs
- Complete assigned repair orders efficiently and accurately
- Communicate with service advisors and management when additional repairs or concerns are identified
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Complete required manufacturer training and maintain certifications
- Follow dealership procedures and all applicable state and federal safety and environmental regulations
Requirements
- Previous automotive service experience or automotive technical school education
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Basic automotive tools and mechanical knowledge
- Ability to safely lift and handle tires and automotive components
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment
- PA State Inspection and Emissions licenses or be able to obtain
