Tech Lead, Benefits Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Tech Lead, Benefits Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will provide technical leadership across a benefits-focused engineering function, guiding the design and delivery of scalable software solutions that support the business. The ideal candidate will partner closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to translate operational needs into reliable technical outcomes. You will help shape modern cloud-native systems and event-driven applications that improve quality, scalability, and execution for a critical business area. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $140,600 – $173,100 annually Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native software solutions Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions Guide teams in building distributed and event-driven applications Review designs and code to ensure quality and scalability Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with proven technical leadership Experience leading the design and delivery of complex software systems Strong proficiency in C#, .NET / ASP.NET, and modern web development practices Experience with distributed, event-driven architectures, including technologies like Kafka Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement savings plan Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
