Tech Lead

About the role

The role involves overseeing a single engineer, providing architectural reviews and guidance, improving quality assurance processes, managing recruiting, and recommending cost improvements for AI product operations. The ideal candidate must have significant B2B SaaS experience, especially in enterprise-level applications, and should be comfortable with integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into production environments. They should also have hands-on experience in the tech stack including React, Python, Azure, and various LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a small engineering team
• Provide architectural reviews and guidance
• Improve quality assurance processes
• Manage the recruiting process to hire additional full-time engineers (likely offshore)
• Manage the cost of running AI products and recommend improvements
• Be hands-on in the codebase as needed

Requirements

• Led a small engineering team as a tech lead or equivalent for other early-stage tech startups
• Significant B2B SaaS experience, building products for large enterprises
• Plenty of experience integrating LLMs into production apps
• Hired engineers, particularly offshore
• Still highly hands-on and comfortable coding in the tech stack

Qualifications

• Familiarity with investment banking workflows, particularly analysts’ processes
• Product management experience (nice to have)
