Tech Infra Program Manager I, Network Design and Deployment Team (NIDD)
About the role
The Network Design and Deployment Team (NIDD) oversees the design and deployment of cable infrastructure within ADC regions, including milestone review, comment issuance, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency. NIDD planning assesses partner team designs to ensure compliance with AWS and customer requirements, focusing on cabling pathways, sizing, location, type, classification, and installation. The team provides telecom room designs, including sizing and power for various rooms, as well as user-outlet designs. The role involves coordinating meetings with partner teams to clarify ownership for delivering connectivity and working with multiple design/construction teams from pre-permit to hand-off to operations.
The AWS Network Design and Deployment Team (NIDD) is searching for a passionate and talented Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to drive Data Center and Network Capacity planning in North America. You will assess demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete prerequisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity, lead programs to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability, and collaborate with teams across the ADC Organization to plan and deliver data center capacity. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network health, customer demand, anticipate risks, resolve issues, and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
- Work with stakeholders (networking engineers, technical program managers, senior management) to define requirements and processes.
- Manage dependencies and interfaces between projects and negotiate necessary trade-offs.
- Provide regular program progress reporting.
- Assume end-to-end responsibility for the program’s execution and success.
- Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.
- Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvements and automated solutions.
- Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.
- Meet or exceed Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of project management tools and software.
- Experience collecting data from log files, data stores, SQL, and APIs.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting networks, or experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications, including Linux and networking protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in program or project management.
- Bachelor’s degree.

Pay
Base salary range: $95,300.00 – $160,000.00 USD annually (locations: Culpeper, VA; Fairfax, VA). The final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. The package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
