TECH (FULL TIME VARIED) PHARMACY

Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. They assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining records. They function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year experience preferred.
• Technical Skills: Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.).
• Licenses/Certifications: Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Health career Association as a pharmacy technician.
