About the Role
Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in various activities of the pharmacy department. They help pharmacists prepare and distribute medications, maintain drug inventory, and keep records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties legally restricted to registered pharmacists.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications.
- Maintain drug inventory and records.
- Operate automation systems with knowledge of reporting features (e.g., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access).
- Adhere to standard procedures, guidelines, and state/federal regulations.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (preferred).
- One (1) year of experience (preferred).
- Current license as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nevada.
- Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Health Career Association as a pharmacy technician.
