Tech Delivery Subject Matter Expert
About the role
The selected candidate will be embedded within an Agile delivery squad responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of backend microservices. Working primarily in Java 21 with Spring Boot, the individual will contribute to the full software development lifecycle — from solution design and coding to testing, deployment, and production support.
Responsibilities
- Design and build RESTful and event-driven microservices for banking workflows such as payments, account management, transaction processing, and reporting.
- Develop and optimize data access and persistence layers using MongoDB, ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity at scale.
- Integrate services across cloud-native infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP), leveraging managed services such as API Gateways, message queues, secret stores, and observability tooling.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and QA engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Adhere to banking-grade standards covering security, audit logging, data residency, and regulatory compliance (e.g. PCI-DSS, GDPR, Client 239).
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and support knowledge transfer within the team.
Requirements
A credit check is required for this role. The client will take care of the drug test as part of their onboarding process. Green card and H-1 Visa holders are acceptable, and US citizenship is not required.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Java 21 and Spring Boot, and will be able to contribute to the full software development lifecycle. Experience with MongoDB, cloud-native infrastructure, and banking-grade standards is also desirable.
Location and Schedule
This is an onsite role, located at 575 Washington Blvd, Jersey City, 07310, and will require working 4 days a week.
