About the role
Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote. If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week and from your home for the remaining portion. If you live more than 50 miles from those offices, the role will be fully remote, though occasional in-office visits may be requested based on business need.

Responsibilities
- Communicate and present complex technical concepts simply and effectively to non-technical team members
- Identify opportunities that impact business strategy and system performance
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements with stakeholders
- Identify inefficiencies in process and recommend solutions
- Conduct systems analysis with a focus on technical process models and use cases
- Provide testing support and analysis for resolution
- Lead business process modeling efforts to model current and future state processes and perform gap analysis
- Serve as a project team member for projects of simple to moderate scope and complexity
- Collect research on competition, best practices, and market strategies; make buy vs. build recommendations
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 6+ years of relevant business systems analyst or related experience
- Demonstrated experience in developing projects across all phases of the project life cycle
- Experience developing functional specifications, user interface designs, and wireframes
- Advanced database skills with MS Access and knowledge of relational databases
- Ability to apply statistical and research methods to systems issues and derive summary conclusions

Pay
The salary range for this job is $97,000 - $127,000. This range is specific to the job and considers factors such as education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation.
