Responsibilities
- Facilitate Perioperative patient care by assisting with clinical anesthesia activities under the direction and collaboration with the Registered Nurse and Anesthesiologist.
- Provide supplies, equipment, and assistance during anesthetic procedures to ensure safe delivery of anesthetic patient care.
- Perform Preoperative FDA anesthesia machine checkouts.
- Troubleshoot anesthesia equipment.
- Start patient intravenous lines.
- Operate the intraoperative autologous blood recovery system.
- Operate the three-dimensional image-guidance system.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
- Courses in anatomy/physiology and basic chemistry at college level preferred.
- One year of Operating room experience preferred.
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
