Anesthesia Technician / SEIU - E I AGH

General Overview

Assists anesthesia personnel with the preparation and insertion of specialized invasive monitoring equipment utilized during peri-operative procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to anesthesia personnel during the preparation and insertion of specialized invasive monitoring equipment.
• Ensures that all anesthetizing locations are in a state of readiness.
• Maintain proper standards of cleanliness and organization of the Anesthesia workroom.
• Manages equipment, supplies, and medication according to established guidelines in order to maintain safe, efficient, and cost effective programs.
• Participates in hospital, division, and department activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician or Emergency/Medical or related experience, Graduate from an accredited Anesthesia Tech school or program, CPR – American Heart Association, Preferred: ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) or ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.).
