About the Role
The OR/Anesthesia Technician supports the Anesthesia Staff in the preparation, maintenance, and provision of peri-anesthesia patient care. Also assists the perioperative team with a variety of OR-specific tasks and responsibilities. Demonstrated knowledge of orthopedic/pediatric care for infant, toddler, preschool, school-age, and young adult (up to age 21) patients. This is a PRN position at Shriners Spokane with no weekends and no nights.
Responsibilities
- Preoperatively prepares the anesthesia workstation to ensure that all anesthesia carts are standardized according to the direction from the Chief of Anesthesia/Perioperative Manager and are fully stocked at all times.
- Intraoperatively maintains the functions and cleanliness of the anesthesia workstation and assists the anesthesiologists with procedures and technical support.
- Maintains a neat, orderly, clean, efficient, and well-organized anesthesia workroom that is sufficiently stocked at all times.
- Performs supply chain duties as assigned.
- Assists with OR turnovers, specimen delivery, and opening of sterile items.
- Some patient transport post-recovery.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Some experience in a surgery department.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some experience in operating room theory and practice.
- Some experience in supply chain.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $24.50–$36.76/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
